Southern Moana Replacing the Southern Cross

Dear Valued Clients,

At the express request of the Owners of the Southern Cross, the partner lines have been negotiating with the Owners for a suitable re-delivery date of the vessel. It has now been agreed for the Southern Cross v54 to make her final Australia – Noumea rotation, as the vessel will be offhired in Noumea on 21ST August 2007, for delivery back to Europe.

As part of a dedicated re-tonnaging programme, the partner lines are pleased to announce the deployment of the “ Southern Moana “ into the Australia – New Caledonia trade.

The Southern Moana has been operating for the past 6 years, servicing New Zealand, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Funafuti, Wallis and Futuna.

The vessels tween-deck / box hold configuration, 2×80 ton port side cranes and multi purpose intake (Containers, Breakbulk and Heavy Lifts) is an ideal application for the Australia – New Caledonia trade. The operational and technical performance of the vessel, has been well tested in extensive Pacific Island service coverage.

Southern Moana will maintain a 15 day service rotation between Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane to Noumea (* Prony Baie on inducement *)

Southern Moana voy 55 will be positioned to Melbourne to commence in service On the following dates:

Melbourne 26/08 Sydney 29/08 Brisbane 31/08 Noumea 04/09
