Australian northbound BAF review
Ex Australia to Wallis and Futuna
Over the past few weeks’ global fuel prices have reached new record high levels, with the most recent spike in prices having started its ascent during September 2007.
It has been well over 18 months since we last reviewed our BAF and over this period prices have increased dramatically. With no sign that prices will materially ease in the near future, we are left with little option but to adjust our BAF to reflect this significant cost change in operating our business.
We have now completed a review of our BAF, from Australia to Wallis & Futuna and accordingly wish to advise that effective from early January 2008, the BAF will be increasing by AUD200 per TEU, to:
BAF: AUD700 per 20’ AUD1400 per 40’
The new baf will come into effect from the following vessel/voyages: -
Southern Pasifika V148 arriving Wallis 30/01/2008 & Futuna 02/02/2008.
